1. Why Reaper/Shinobi

  • Reaper is a dark magic nuker with 3 permanent devil summons (Devil's Pact) that act as free personal buffs.
  • Shinobi sub gives you extra burst buttons, mobility/utility (Smokescreen), and access to two strong combo skills: Dark Inferno (440% skill DMG) and Blade Vortex (435% skill DMG) — among the highest combo multipliers Reaper can get.
  • Playstyle: ranged (25–27m), line-AoE heavy, low downtime. Great for both trash and boss.

2. Stat Priority

No manual stat points in AK — your "stats" come from envoy, gear rolls, secret stones, enchants, eidolons.


3. Envoy's Path (25 points, Lv75 baseline)

The simulator (https://www.aurakingdom-db.com/envoy/reaper) encodes clicks into the build= string, so click these node types in — the names below match the in-game grid:

Take (in priority order):

  1. Reaper Mastery 1 → 3 — flat skill/DMG increases for your scythe skills. Core.
  2. Reaper Studies 1 → 3 — CRIT-oriented class nodes. Core.
  3. Weak Point Analysis (all copies reachable) — CRIT DMG. Your biggest scaling multiplier.
  4. Big Game Hunter — stacking DMG vs bosses. Mandatory for raid DPS.
  5. Deep Blue — DMG +2%, Malice −5%. Free damage + less aggro.
  6. Purgatory Bats Mastery — buffs your hardest-hitting line AoE.
  7. Attack Swiftness ×1–2 — only enough SPD to close rotation gaps.
  8. Cheapest DMG +% squares as connectors between the above.

Skip:

  • Muscle Up (HP), Thick Skin (DEF), Bob and Weave (EVA), The Best Defense — zero DPS value in PvE.
  • Healing/utility squares.

Optional variant (burst build): spend the connector points toward the Dark Inferno combo unlock instead. Community consensus is that most ultimates aren't worth the point tax for sustained DPS, but Dark Inferno's 440% skill DMG plus its cast i-frames is genuinely useful on bosses with heavy mechanics — take it if your server's fights punish you, skip it on a pure parse build.

On servers with cap >75 (extra envoy points): dump everything extra into remaining DMG% / CRIT% squares, then finish both combo unlocks (Dark Inferno + Blade Vortex).

4. Skills & Rotation

Devil's Pact (summons)

You keep 3 devils out permanently (Lulos, Saga, Lapuree, Shaiya, Nyquist, Alia — each grants a different scythe-only buff). Run the three offensive ones: the DMG buff, the CRIT buff, and the SPD buff devil. Hover each in-game or on aurakingdom-db to see which is which on your server's patch — private servers sometimes reshuffle these. Re-summon instantly if one dies.

Weapon Mastery

  • Master of Curses — grants Sanguine Incantation (15m AoE debuff/buff) + Viciousness + Hand on the Trigger passives. The usual PvE DPS pick: passive damage/crit scaling plus a party-value AoE.
  • Nether Realm Acolyte — grants Soul Grudge (165% line nuke) + Aura Boost + Presence of the Nether Realm. More buttons, slightly more solo-oriented.

If your server's tooltips differ from official, compare the two passive lines and take whichever gives raw DMG/CRIT.

Single-target boss rotation

      → Devil Incarnate (170%, drops Bleak Area DoT — keep this DoT up)
      → Shadowflame Toss (154%)

      → Shadowbolt Barrage (143%) as filler until Bats/Incarnate return
[Burst] Dark Inferno / Blade Vortex on cooldown if unlocked (also your i-frame)

Rules of thumb:

  • Bleak Area uptime — always recast Devil Incarnate the moment it's ready; the ground DoT is free damage.
  • Don't hard-cast shuriken sub-weapon skills for damage — they scale off your weaker sub weapon. Sub is for Smokescreen (utility), mobility, and combo skill access only.
  • Refresh Unholy Frenzy and Sanguine Incantation on cooldown.

AoE / trash

Line up the pack: Purgatory Bats → Shadowflame Toss → Soul Grudge (if NRA mastery) → Frozen Tomb → Devil Incarnate on the densest cluster. Reaper's line AoEs delete corridors.

Fortification: weapon first (biggest return), then armor pieces to server-safe levels.

Buy/craft the class-specific scythe stones (item category: Scythe Secret Stone on aurakingdom-db) and check which of your two nukes your server's stone pool boosts — take the one you press most (usually Shadowbolt Barrage for single-target uptime, Bats for AoE-weighted content).

Enchantment Cards

  • Every equipment slot gets the highest-tier dual-stat card: DMG + CRIT (weapon card: DMG + Skill DMG if available).
  • Costume enchants too if your server has them: weapon costume = DMG%, body/head = CRIT/DMG. These are "free" stats — don't leave them empty.

6. Eidolons

Priorities for a dark magic DPS:

Setup:

  • Star buff (2★) is what actually matters — check each eidolon's 2★ buff on aurakingdom-db (Eidolons page) and run whichever gives DMG% or CRIT to you, not the pet.
  • Evolve your main to 3★, give it DMG-line eidolon accessories, and keep its prayer/wish active.
  • Higher-cap / private servers: newer support eidolons (Aoandon-tier) usually outclass the classics — same rule applies: pick by the buff line, not the model.

7. Consumables & Misc

  • Food: DMG + CRIT banquet food (guild banquet / cooking).
  • Potions: attack potions + your server's dungeon buff scrolls.
  • Title: equip your highest DMG/CRIT title.
  • Card duel / achievement passives: finish the DMG-granting ones — they're permanent account stats.

8. Priority Checklist (in order of DPS per effort)

  1. Cap-level gold scythe, Dark Lv5, fortified — this alone is most of your damage
  2. Envoy path done (Section 3)
  3. Devil's Pact = 3 offensive devils, always up
  4. Top-stat rerolls (DMG%) on all gold gear
  5. CRIT secret stones + weapon skill stone
  6. Dual-stat enchant cards everywhere
  7. 3★ main eidolon with the right 2★ buff
  8. Food/potion discipline in runs

Item names for specific sets/trophies vary heavily by patch and by private server. Verify exact endgame set names for your cap on aurakingdom-db (Items → Equipment, filter by level) — the stat logic above stays the same regardless of patch.
